(If this is on the wrong board than sorry or if there is another thread then sorry but I have searched and can't find what i'm looking for!)
Those of you who do buffets on Christmas day evening and Boxing day, what food do you have? I can't seem to think of what else to get, my mind has gone blank!

Whole salmon, quiche, green salad, bean salad, potato salad, bread rolls, cheese board, pickled onions

Dips with vegetable crudites, kettle chips, sausage rolls, vol-au vents, salads, coleslaw, cheese board, quiches, pizzas, trifle, Delia Smith chocolate torte.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

What about doing something in slow cooker chilli or curry? served with crusty bread? Then have the usual as aboveSober and Fabulous 4/1/10

I think you have to have turkey in a Xmas Buffet. That is a must have.
Also, TV Chef, Simon Rimmer, does a really really tasty honey & orange glazed sprouts and beetroot with chestnuts. Works so well. One of my tastiest little Xmas treats of all time. Check it out: www. eatthechef.com/recipe.aspx?id=20 -

we have leftover turkey, pigs in blankets and stuffing. a nice cheeseboard with biscuits, pickles, delias sausage rolls and crusty bread. followed by whatever choccies we have and any leftover dessert from christmas lunch.March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

I think I must live with p-pincher as we have the same (though the sausage rolls are an old be-ro (sp?) recipe from a book my Mum passed on to me when I left home 18 years ago.
Boxing day evening is the start of the stew fest! I love stew & dumplings & it lasts about 3 days!0
