hi,
I need a unsecured loan but I am on sickness benefits approx £516 a month.
got a fair credit rating and I'm a council tenant. Cannot provide a guarantoor and cannot afford to pay out any more upfront fees.
where can I go? looking ideally for £3k but would consider a min of £1k and payable over a five to seven year period.
any suggestions??

Quite simply - no reputable bank is going to lend to you if you're not employed.
Its the biggest of risks to them and nobody is going to take it.0 -
It's a good job you can't afford any up front fees, they are all based on scams in any case.
How were you considering making repayments toward the loan?
Better off posting on the Debt Free Wannabe forum for advice on managing the money you do have to better effect.0 -
Mainstream lenders do not normally lend to people whose only income is benefits these days. They caught a cold doing this in the past and were criticised for lending to people who had little chance of paying them back. The good people on the debtfreewanabee board will help you to manage your affairs and steer clear of debt.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
