    Hi,

great advice already - back to the mince thing - do check the reduced section for mince - I love it so I managed to get 4 packs for 60p each and each pack will make about 4 ish portions...

Good luck with the food - are you going to do a grocery challenge?

My local somerfields often has the best bogofs and the most reduced stuff out of all the supermarkets that I go to.

I tend to use tescos predominatly as a) its closer b) i get the clubcard points

You can get mags subscriptions with CC points too - a little treat for yourself.
Dont people jsut leave mags on the plane, Ive always had a little recky round to snaffle old mags off the plane when Ive flown long haul :D

Also I dont know if they are still recruiting but pincecone research is an online consumer survey and for each one you do they send £4 luncheon vouchers accepted in all the main supermarkets along with resturaunts, beefeaters, macDs costas etc. Nice for a little treat :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

On the old style board - usually monthly challenge where you set yourself a ££ target (for me it was £200 for me, OH, dd and baby ds (milk, nappies etc) and then see if you can stick to it - it really helped me focus.

I go to tesco as the somerfield near me is so foul I can't bear to go in there!

You could have a look at my menu planner for some cheap food ideas. I feed a family of 3 for a week on what you spent on one meal!!!

It's so easy to pop into Tesco on the way home every other night and then yikes! overspend! Could you try doing a weekly shop and planning meals?

I used to do this too! I used to work at a Sainsbury's Local three times a week, and ended up spending nigh on £20 after each shift. I was hungry, I was tired, I'd seen nice food coming through the tills for hours, and I was RIGHT THERE WITH MONEY - it was a disaster! Now I flatly refuse to go on little trips to the supermarket mid-week unless I desperately need something - it's just so easy to slip up. Shop less and make a list - or better, do an online shop. You can add all you like to the basket, but when you see the total at the bottom it's a big motivator to comb through and delete things you don't really need (something that's much more difficult in a supermarket aisle!). Plus you can edit your shop if you forget anything at the last minute, thus avoiding those little emergency trips that prove so utterly fatal to will-power! I'm on my way to being a shopping angel now... :A
