  • :mad:I am really annoyed i went to buy a nintendo wii today and as I had seen this post last night I thought i would go to the Tesco that was near where I bought my wii to see if they had any. On the shelf they had family trainer: extreme challenge so i went up to tech guy and asked if they had the other one too. He came to look on the shelves and like I had already discovered, couldnt find any so he chacked the computer system for me. He checked and then said they didn't stock the other one, to which i replied well what is the point in these games being on offer if you do not stock them, so he said to try online. I asked him if they would have the same offer online, so he took me over to their tesco direct computer and checked for me. He told me they don't seem to have them on there either. I asked him if he could check if the store closest to me had them so he rung up, they didn't have it either and then to top it off i asked him, having established that they had No Family Trainer in stock there, online or at my local store about Family Trainer Extreme Challenge to which he then told me they didnt have that in stock either. I asked him why on earth do you have the boxes on the shelf then!!! What a farce... can anyone please help my local store is Castlepoint Bournemouth and the one i went to was Poole Branch, does anyone know of a store not too far away that does have them both in stock. PLEASE i really wanted them and i have clubcard vouchers to go towards them too.

Update: I am now calm i went to 4 different branches and managed to track them both down, despite Tesco's very poor efforts at helping which involved not an awful lot... and I asked my local branch if they could find out if any other branches had one, the nice lady who did help me by ringing was told that CASTLEPOINT store did not have any by their customer services team, and yet I thought that i would go and double check just in case and GUESS WHAT.... they had one there all along. WHy oh why is it so difficult for these people to make the tiniest bit of effort for their customers. I could have just gone there first and got both of them...

Warning though if you are thinking of going there to get one I bought the last one of the original family trainers. There are still more of the extreme challenge ones there but they are not with the other games on shelves they are in their proper boxes with their mat by the guitar hero sort of games further along the aisle. Price reduction not on shelf either but scans at £19.50.....

So I am happy now haha:T:T:T:T

    :j Hurrah! :j

I went straight from the school run today for one final attempt and spotted one display case by the offer label for the Family Challenge. I was disappointed that it was the last one, so I wouldn't be able to get one from my folks to my boys, just one from me to my nephews. Then I spotted two more stuck up by something completely different, higher up 'the charts'. (I wonder if someone had put them there hoping they'd still be there when they come back in or send someone else in looking for stock.)

So I took two cases to the till and put one in the correct place for the next MSE Grabbit addict who goes in looking for this!

Thanks again to the OP. I'm very pleased indeed!

I found WII Family Challenge at Blockbusters online for only £19.98, and also 5% through Quidco. There may be some vouchers somewhere but I couldn't find anywhere online to put them in.

FREE Delivery also, so only 48p more than the Tesco version!!
