How many photos should I get on the 512 card?
ps, I have just used the video and the memory card is full on one take!
Same here, ordered yesterday, arrived today! It doesnt come in a fancy box, just a plain cardboard 1. The SD card fits over 200 photos :-)0 -

If you put the video setting on normal instead of HQ, you will get about 10 mins of video on a 512 card, and the differance is unoticable. get yourself a couple of bigger cards if you plan to take more video.
A 512 card will give you
132 pictures on 6m pix
149 pictures on 6m pix (3:2)
247 pictures on 3m pix <
what I use
all set on fine quality.
Hope that helps, also if u take alook around on this site that are pleanty of cheap SD cards to be had now a days.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -

Many thanks for the above info! Can you advise me why you use the 3m setting? If you have a 6mg camera, why use a 3mg setting? Is it just to get more photos on the card? ie 247 V 132.
Also please tell me what the difference is between 6m pix and 6m pix(3.2) ?
Lastly, can I use a 1g card or do I have to use a 512mb?
Thanks .0 -

Its basically personal preferance, any budding photographer will tell u that for just taking snapshots of the kids ect 3mil pix is more than enough. I only use more pixels when taking pictures close up or when there is lots of detail. Some may disagree but printing a 6 mill picture or a 3 mill picture gives no differance in the results. Unless you have a printer that can print A3. You can however play more with the results of a 6 mill picture, IE touch-up, exposure ect. None of the above is written in stone, its just the conclusion I have come to with experiance.
This is just aother conclusion I have come to but I think the differance between the 6 mill pix 3:2 and the 6 mill pix only is ........ when printing the 3:2 none of the edges are cropped but the 6 mill only they are, might be vise versa??? Pls correct me if I am wrong.
I have the EXZ110 and it can take upto 2gb SD card, it should tell you in your manual what your max is for your model.
Glad to be of service :-)MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -

Lets all just hope there isnt a reason why Casio have all these refurbished cameras, that's going to crop up after our warantees run out in a year! :eek:0

Alot are just cancelled orders or returns like from catalogues etc, they would of had more testing than buying a new one0

can these casio cameras be charged via USB?thanks to everyone who has thanked me!0
-
If the camera has a battery pack then - Yes - the camera sits in a cradle and it's actually the only way to charge the camera. I believe you can get adapters from poundland and similar places which plug into a car ciagarette socket and have a usb socket for charging this sort of device.
For the lower-end models - No - these take AA batteries and you'll need an external charger. This isn't life in the fast lane, it's life in the oncoming traffic - Terry Pratchett0 -
