  • Bought a piece of silverside from this offer last week and just got round to cooking it today. Did it in my slow cooker for about 5 hours and it was really lovely. Loads left so another roast dinner tomorrow, then sandwiches with the rest. Very good value, only cost about £9.
  • At the moment Tesco have net packed beef at £4 a kg :)

    .....and ASDA It's everywhere. Pork too.

    In fact it's cheaper to buy the beef and cut it up for pie, stew casserole etc.

    Pork leg is quite lean and tender, you can dice it for stir fry, cut into steaks instead of chops...
    NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!
