Car insurance no deposit

now what car insurances out there can I use where they do not take a deposit. It seems nearly every website I have been to takes a deposit (And why is this)??

Any help would be great.

    There are companies that allow you to have car insurance without a deposit, but most of them will want the direct debit set up and will take the first payment within 10 days of the insurance ein taken out.

    Car sales places normally use these companies for you soyou can drive away same day, and i have used them, ages ago when i brougt a new car, they ant the cheapest nd dnt have the best features, i personally would go with a mainstream supplier.

    CIS offer no deposit insurance (Co operative insurance services) please dont take tis as me recommending them, as i dont.
