Paying off a loan but been getting phone calls all day

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. My husband has been paying off a loan at a reduced rate of £50.00 a month for some time now. Today he has received phone calls to the landline and texts and calls to his mobile regarding his loan and the amount he is paying. They are asking him to raise his payment but he can't at the moment due to being made redundent. Also these calls we keep missing but are showing up on landline/ mobile, are they harrassing him? Is there anything we can do.
Look forward to some help.

  • I wonder if it's the computer system of the loan company where your number has fallen into the system and they keep dialling you, then once you answer, it goes to one of their call centre operatives.

This happened to me last week. Egg called, my partner answered, they wanted to speak to me. Told me my account wasn't up to date. She then got the information onscreen and said "oh you've paid us twice this month .... erm ... sorry!" and got off the line quickly! numpties!
