Aberdeen - donating foreign coins to charity

Hello all - does anyone know of a charity shop that accepts donations of foreign coins? I have some euros left from holiday that are too small to be exchanged at the bank.

I tried a few of the charity shops on George Street today, but couldn't find any that collect them....

  • Used to be big plastic collections at airports, but I suppose with the euro being so common most people keep their small change now. I always hang on to a few euro for a coffee in case of delays!
I would just put it in whichever tin you want, they sort them out at banking depot by machine.

Take them to the M&S bureau de change. I worked there and they have tubs on the counter to put your coins in where they will then be donated to Breakthrough Breastcancer. If you have quite a lot just pass them to one of the girls in the Bureau and they will put them in a bag with the other ready for collection.

This is better than putting them in any old charity tin as it is sorted and donated faster :)
