I am awaiting a divorce from my ex, fighting over custody and getting walked over in all directions. Live in rented, furnished accomodation at moment, and verbally agreed with EX that children will reside with him whilst spending 50% of their time with me, although have to beg to see them and whilst contact is there - it's not yet at the 50% ratio agreed.
Now find I'm struggling to pay off debts, all household bills are up to date. Pay towards children as required to my EX. Although finding it hard to stretch my income in all directions and have any money left in my purse for when the children are with me.
Not eligible for tax credits, earn approx £1000.00 per month as Registered Nurse.
Have letter from CSA to calculate maintenance - currently pay £198 per month to EX.
Have enrolled with an agency to work extra shifts to increase income to pay off debts. My EX has threatened to report me to the CSA for any extra income.
I earn £16,000, my EX earns £41,000. Untilthe divorce is sorted, which seems to be taking for ever. I cannot see debt situation improving.
Any advice would be greatly received as current situation getting desperate.

consult a good solicitor
is the agreement for 50% - 50% conatct time a written agreement?
does your CSA payment take into account that the children spend half their time with you?0 -
I have completed the CSA forms and demonstrated the 'agreed' contact. Have also copied my diary, as they requested, showing which nights the children have spent with me since November 16th 2005.(163 nights)
I have to wait for their decision, and continue to make the current payments which I hope are similar to what they will calculate.
My solicitor was recommended and seems to be doing her upmost. Currently waiting mediation appointment - EX refused to attend mediation in January but has agreed to attend now - hopefully he'll be true to his word.TOTAL DEBT £22962.67!!!!!!!!
