RMA-I know, I know...

Hi all,
Just want some advice-I'm on a DMP with CCCS (just had 3rd payment) and most of the calls have stopped except RMA (of course!) and the keep hassling me for small 'token' payments as my debt isn't '12 months old yet'. The payments they are getting from CCCS are not far off my minimum. I'm sick and tired of the calls (and have told them to stop-which they mostly did for a while) and they keep badgering me for these small payments. Should I just give in and give them the bl***y £1 or just say NO!? I've just been told that my grant for setting up childminding isn't going to pay for my Public Liability so I need to find £125-pronto. I've sold every book and cd and DVD on AMazon, anything not glued down on eBay and TBH I'm just sick of the stress of it all. WIll it make it worse if I DO pay? WIll they keep asking for more? Has anyone every paid them (other than their DMP payment?)
Thanks for your help,
And any suggestions on what to say to them!
Bunny

Don't pay them extra. Remind them when they phone up that they KNOW you have to treat all creditors fairly and to pay them extra would be breaking the terms of your DMP

Thanks MSE for helping me budget and therefore increase payments from £30 per month to £150
  • I've just had 2 letters from them ! Sent it back to them with my notes on, hope they get the message

The more you pay the more they ask for. The calls are costing them money so if they can't get you to budge they will give up. If you do back down and pay more, they will go great this works and carry on doing it.

Don't give the barstewards a penny and if they keep calling you tell them you will report them to the financial ombudsmen and office of fair trading for harrassment! :D

    Thanks all
I will inform them that I am breaking the terms of my DMP and will not give them any money.
It wears you down and I just needed to hear other's advice to harden me again!
    Thanks again,
