  • Have a glass of water to hand, paper and pen in order for you to make notes of what they are saying, you will be surprised on how easy you forget.

Have your BR paperwork to hand so you can double check things, be honest dont waffle and dont crack jokes..

Its just another human being on the end of the phone, nothing to worry about if you tell them everything they ask, truthfully.

Mine was the first of the day at 9am and the man was most polite. He even told me i hadnt put the maximum amounts on some of my soa, and changed it!
Everyone is right about not waffling..I remember him saying to me that there will be periods of silence while he is writing down etc.

Good luck and enjoy the free life!

Depending on the type of finance Bright house use you might be able to keep the sofa-for example, Blackhorse provide the finance for DFS-it is not a true hire purchase agreement-CHECK WITH THE OR!

    Good luck :)
  • Hi Samy, you do have to disclose all your debts (non disclosure is taken seriously) so just mention the Bright House loan at the interview and say you forgot to put on the SA, and then they'll add it. As long as it's not HP and the sofa is all your's, you'll get to keep the sofa.
  • Good luck. I would have hated the wait between court and the OR interview - I went BK in Southend and you go straight from court to the OR for face to face interview. I arrived at the court t 9:30 and was home with a cup of tea by 3, knowing it was all done. Only spoke to my OR once after then, to ask f I was allowed to keep a car I was given.

No need to be nevus, I went bankrupt i march 2003, owing 750,000 (Sole Trader)

And mine was nice as pie, told him everything i could possibly remember, gave him the computer with the accounts on, i was in there 2 hours.

Never heard a thing from him till i got my letter on april 1st 2005, saying was discharged, AND YES I DID PHONE TO CHECK IT WASNT A WIND UP, lol

After all they are humans and hav no doubt in saying they ave probably struggled to pay something in their time.
    Awaiting Inspiration......................
