in Cutting tax
aaarrrgghhhh I think I deleted my question so here it is again.......My fiance is a Canadian, resident in US with a US bank account. He wants to transfer funds to my Scottish account so that I can purchase our family home before he gets here and before we marry as he is in hospital((f$%"*&g bin laden:mad:)). He will be relocating to Scotland under the Ancestory rule. Will there be any kind of extra taxes to pay??
Thanks.
Thanks.

At this end - no. But be aware of possible inheritance tax implications if he were to die after transferring the money and before marrying.
There could be some US tax involved - no idea.0
