Irn Bru stain on the carpet

Hi, My DD has spilt some Irn Bru on the upstairs landing carpet. I've tried to shampoo it with just ordinary carpet shampoo but its not budging! Does anyone know of anything else I could try? Its a wool carpet(70%) if that makes a difference
