If anyone is near cambridge
I recommend checking out the cambridge regional college new hair & beauty facilities. The have training salons as well as commerical salons in hair a beauty, so a cut & finish starts at £8 going up to £23 for a hairdresser that teaches as well.
Great prices for Cambridge

Have been going here for years now.
The only pity is that the new site has meant a two-tier pricing structure.
The hiked £23 price you give is for 'graduates'.
I stay with the students, still at £15. for my long hair colour.
They have to learn and are well-supervised.
    Bus Pass helps, too.

  • I agree - it's much cheaper in the training salons. But I prefer the 'graduate' salons because the staff are fully trained but prices are still low - and part-time students (I've just signed up) get an extra 25% off everything there. Which means a full head of highlights in the graduate hair salon is £30 (mega cheap!). Cheapest course you can do is £45, or £25 for concessions, so it's almost worth signing up just for the reductions.
  • oh my goodness, why have I not heard about this before?!

I'm really tempted by the £10 massage - but will I have a lecturer watching me as well as the therapist? can't imagine relaxing well in that situation!

Thanks so much for posting this!

the lecturer is over seeing the treatment , not standing there just watching you. Believe me you will be so relaxed with a massage you will be unaware
