Apple have launched the new 1GB Nano
It retails at £109 although only few places are selling so far
Anyone come across these any cheaper elsewhere or know somewhere that sells them that might have discounts ?

Good Lord - is it really worth cutting your Mp3 storage space in half for the saving of a fiver ???. What a rip-off. Does anyone know of any advantage of this new Nano over the 2 previous versions.

Nickledawn is out of stock now.

I had a quick look at the discount codes available on the codes forum ..... look for a 10% off at the The Link code and go through quidco.

2GB Nano should then cost £108

    Hope that helps.

    Hi guys!

I am digging out this post, the reason being that nickeldawn owes me 100 pounds for a PSP I paid but never received since July 06....

After being unable to settle down the debt in a friendly way, I want to make a claim through the small claims court.

However, I cant find their postal address (they have sold the domain name). The company I am dealing with in regards with the payment now is called https://www.paymentgatewaylive.com and have no postal address either.

Did you guys receive anything from nickeldawn? If so, would you be kind enough to PM me the address on the invoice or anything that would help me to get my money back?

    Thanks very much!

Why bother with iPod? There are much better (and cheaper) players out there without all the hassle with poor software like iTunes or DRM

I got my iPod at the refurb store for £65 for an old-style white 2GB model. Pretty good price :D

IMHO iTunes is great software for playing music, and tracks are only DRMed that you buy directly from iTunes....

It is not necessary to use iTunes or ITMS with an iPod. There are plenty of other applications which will manage your music collection. If you rip your CD collection there is no issue with DRM at all.

Apart from the fact that it is bloatware there is nothing fundamentally wrong with iTunes.

    just one example

A brilliantly small player that holds 20gb

and there's plenty more like that - just search on amazon or dabs and places like that

the real beauty about these are that they are read as a usb attached hard drive - just drag and drop files - no messing with software
