a bit confuzzled :-(....

Hi,

The title says it all really!!!! im a serial lurker on this site and i was just looking for some advice really....

basically me and OH are looking to buy the current house we rent from OH's grandparents, we have a 10% deposit and have been to see a mortgage advisor.

we have joint debts of about £2000 on 1 cc each and 2 store purchases..tv etc which only has about 8 payments left,

i was late with 1 payment for the tv on finance in january, however i always overpay on cc and have never missed any other payments..neither has OH,

as i am only 20, i have only had cc for almost 2 years.. (i got it just to improve my credit score for when eventually wanted mortgage!!!)

i just basically wanted your lovely advice on what you think the chances are of us being aepted for a mortgage of £110,000, mortgage advisor said there were only 4 lenders (although she never said who) who would be willing to lend at 90% LTV.

Sorry for the complete and utter ramble but i couldnt think of how to word it!!!!

thankyou :-)

You don't state your incomes, but you should be ok even with the 1 missed payment - as long as that is the only problem on your credit files

  • hi,

our joint income is between £36K and £40k per year before tax, and yes that is the only tiny smidgen on my credit file, my partner has never missed a payment.

thanks very much for your help
