What a useless subject heading; sorry about that.
Whilst we were busy returning some sale items from the Next Xmas sale, there was someone next to me doing the same, and busy telling the assistant that she'd got an email a couple of weeks before Xmas with full details of all the sale items, and the ability to order (on-line) anything she wanted.
Anyone heard of this, and if so, how does one get on the list?? I'm guessing it's for high-spending catalogue users...

I got the same e-mail, but I didn't spend anything in the catalogue last season!
I think it was because I'm registered on the website, so they send the e-mails.
The e-mail comprised a complete listing of the reductions, but you could only order on the day of the sale, and you had to have the catalogue out to see the items.
Useful if you had time to sit going through the catalogue. I didn't bother!Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
True, everyone registered with Next got that email. What I'm talking about was different, it gave access to the Sale prices before (and the ability to buy) the sale; in this case, a couple of weeks before Xmas.0

That's the one. Not quite as good as you'd think, but still better than getting up at 3.50am!0

I didn't fair too well with the slot that I received (Thursday 23rd at 11am) as practically 80% of my list was sold out by the time I checked out. From what I can gather, directory customers can select to be contacted about offers via email or phone. In this day and age I bet the majority of customers plump for email. But I have a couple of friends who were contacted by phone, and managed to order everything they wanted.
I found the whole process of ordering over email, really time consuming and difficult. There was no option to 'Quickshop' and key in all your item numbers. It was a case of scrolling through a list of page numbers and item numbers. It took forever to find the items I wanted.
If I am selected as VIP next time (end of July) I will most certainly be opting for a telephone call.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!
