Can I wash and reuse the greaseproof paper...

... that the ready rolled pastry comes in?

I wash and reuse all my foil and would like to do same with this pastry paper.


I'm also thinking now I really should be making my own batches of pastry and freezing it shouldn't I?
Any tips for this? should I roll it out then roll it back up like the ready-made stuff?

Hi Norman, not so sure about washing the GP paper - dunno if it would still be greaseproof after? You could always try it

Thanks Zippy - will try the batch making pastry after I've used the ready mades I already have

I have washed the greaseproof paper and it still looks a bit 'greasey' so fingers crossed it will work again
