Anyone live in Bristol? Shopping question...

Hiya

Am hopefully going to Bristol to do some shopping this week. The reason for my post is I always always go to Cribbs (love it) but have heard that the town centre has been revamped and its much better for shopping? Can anyone help me? Am particularly looking for designer clothing shops and tk maxx etc.

Thanks in advance!

Cabot Circus is lovely now, so much better than the old centre when Cribbs was certainly a much nicer place to shop. Think I actually prefer the centre now.

If you want designer I would definately go to Cabot Circus, feels much more upmarket than Cribbs Causeway.

That's not much else there other than clothes shops - you'll love it.

Another thumbs up here for cabot circus too, it has some fantastic up market shops.
We used to shop in Cribbs all the time, but have barely been there since Cabot opened. Dont forget the "Quakers Friars" shops opposite Cabot Circus - There is some lovely shops there: Molton Brown, Radley. Bloomsbury, Harvey Nichols etc. And lovely places to eat like Carluccios, Brasserie Blanc and our favourite: Piccolinos!

There is also a German Market at the moment and Harvey Nics have a specialist food hall open in Quakers Friars until Christmas (But only go in there if you have won the Lottery! :D)

    Have fun!

PS. Anyone else think the "old" part of Broadmead looks so shabby now? We went into The Galleries the other day and it looked so dirty and old. It is in dire need of a refit!

  • I love Cabots Circus and I love Cribbs.

The only thing I dislike about Cabots is that it's not fully enclosed, there are these silly half roof covers and it's a bit like a wind tunnel in bad weather. Been there 4 times and every time it has rained!! And I got wet! But the shops are fab, it 'feels' really nice and I like the choice of restaurants.

    Have fun
