Chocolate Stain on Dress

Just wondered if anyone had any tips for getting chocolate stains out of a dress? :o

The chocolate is from a chocolate fountain

Is it a washable dress? If so a bit of washing up liq will possibly do the trick. Its the fat/oil that you need to disolve. Like iceicebaby said the old stylers are brilliant with things like that.

The exact same thing happened to me a few years back. I also got covered in drink so I took it to the dry cleaners. Is it an especially nice dress? I know it's not very money saving but if it is very fancy, and you want to wear it again or it has sentimental value, I would recommend having it cleaned professionally.

Otherwise I would suggest scraping off the worst of it, then put some biological washing powder over the stain. Dab it gently with a clean towel and hopefully that will remove it without you having to immerse it in water.

As flippin36 said, washing up liquid should also do the trick.

vanish spray might help depending on the material of your dress, if its cotton then it would work fine but im not sure about satin or any other delicate materials, on there site they do have a product that protects the colour as well as removing stain and also pre wash stain remover,

    hope this helps

If its a oil based stain - depending on the material, you can get the worst off with washing liquid or toilet soap and a small nail brush to get rid of the brown bit (IYKWIM) then perhaps use a cool iron on it with brown paper between the dress and the iron to get the grease out.
