mortgage without savings?

Hi, I've start to thinking about my own house. I'm renting in this moment 2bed house and paying £745 for it. I've got no savings, but no many people have any in this days. I will be First-time buyer and decided to take one from the options from HomeBuy scheme. I'm employed with permanent contract from May this year (I've been made redundant without redundacy pay earlier this year and lost all savings which I had!) only I'm working, other half looking after little-one. Will be any chance to get any mortgage? or mayby should I drop this idea for sometime?Any advise will be highly appreciate. Kind Regards Jocker01

Start saving for a deposit say 5% plus. The more you save the more options you will have.
