Hi all,
Looking for a little bit of help/advice.
DH had a letter land on the mat yesterday informing him that the CSA were going to be taking £159 per week from his wages from 3/12/09.
This was the first we had heard of any monies owing.
DH has payed child maintenence since his DS1 was born...the letter says something about an,
"interim assessment in place on the case from 24/03/1999 for £46.44, the case was closed on 3.09.07, but there are considerable arrears outstanding."
Since then, DH has had 2 children, one of which he has had full custody of since she was 14mnths old (now 14, never a penny has been taken from the absent Mother) and our Son. How can I get them to reduce the amount they are going to take every week!?
TIA

What evidence does he have of the payments he has made? Does he know if hte PWC was on benefits at all during the period of the claim?0

Why go straight to your MP, have you tried to sort it out yourself?
Have you contact the CSA about it? What did they say? When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
