Official Wii Controller and Wii Play for £26.99

For those buying a Wii console package this Xmas and need another controller, Carphone Warehouse are selling an official Wii controller and a Wii Play game for £26.99 with free delivery.

The cheapest I have seen - for the controller alone - is £27.00 in Asda.

Picking mine up in store in case the kids get there first.

Is there much difference between Wii play and Wii Sports? The description & pics look the same!

'Fraid I'm not an expert, but I think it is a different set of games, either way the controller is well worth the £26.99 anyway.

Looking at the description it looks different, but the Wii bundle I bought (with Wii Sports) is now wrapped up - so I'll take the risk.

Have ordered, thanks OP. I think Carphone warehouse have put the wrong pictures on the game description as looking on official nintendo.co.uk the games on Play are not the tennis & bowling etc but

Shooting Range
A modern version of the Nintendo classic Duck Hunt. Shoot the targets on the screen simply by aiming your Wii Remote.

Find Mii
Can you spot a face in the crowd? Use your Wii Remote to point out the correct Mii characters as quickly as you can.

Table Tennis
How long can you ping pong? Use your Wii Remote like a paddle to bat the ball and try to beat the computer or human opponent.

Pose Mii
Twist the Wii Remote to rotate the Mii characters and quickly slot them into the correct positions as they fall down the screen.

Laser Hockey
Tilt and turn the Wii Remote to bash the puck into the opponent's goal, in this high-speed arcade-style game.

It looks like the picture theyve put up is of Wii sports rather than Wii play.

for anyone wanting a black remote the cheapest i have found is in zavvi, not allowed to post links sorry but its £17.95 (not with motion plus) don't forget topcashback although it does say dispached within a week. HTH

Morrisons are also selling for £26.99. Good if you need something towards the spend £40 voucher offer. I have told myself that I will only purchase things that I would normally buy.

I think quite a few people buy this for the remote, probably why there are plenty of games on their own on eBay.
