Hiya confused, we dont as in wales we have free prescriptions, and as we have income based jobseekers dentist and optician are covered by those. But thanks for the reminder.BSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110

mummytotwo wrote: »Hiya, tinytim asked for a breakdown of our income and expenditure - so here it is.
Income: my salary £251.33 p/m, IJSA £245.22 p/m, child benefit £143.86 p/m and child tax credit £439.40 p/m total £1079.81 p/m.
Expenditure:
Mortgage £79.64 - receive mortgage interest relief with IJSA.
Council tax £0.00 in receipt of council tax benefit with IJSA.
Gas & Electric £60.00 This seems quite low for a family of four - is this the annual average or just what you have been paying over the summer?
Water £41.70
Virgin tv, interent and phone £25.00 List as Just phone £60 per month max to include mobiles
vodafone x 2 £60.00 - this we have tried battering down with vodafone but they wont let hubby reduce plan. SIM only plans available from T-mobile for £15 per month - currently 300 minutes/unlimited texts. Balance of existing plans could be included as a debt in BR, and there is a chance the phones may not have to be returned.
Tv Licence £12.12
Home insurance £10.65 This seems very low. Should be accidental damage on both buildings and contents
Food Shopping £370.00 £450 especially with the cost of nappies
Clothes £90 - two small children 21mths and 9mths and growing fast!!
Petrol £130.00
Road Tax £17.00
Car ins £18.54
Mot and Serv £15.00 Is it this low? MOT costs £45 on its own, and it only needs a couple of new tyres and an oil and filter change to use the rest.
pets x 2 £5.00 we have them treated under pdsa so only have to make a small donation.
hair £20.00
Birthdays/christmas £25.00 Not normally allowed
Emergency fund £25.00 Not normally allowed
Holiday £60 - Although presents and emergency funds are not normally allowed, holidays are
Total Surplus £76.39 p/m
Any thoughts greatly received.
Hi, some ideas for youhopefully there will be others along with their ideas.

. i can't see natwest letting you keep their account but you never know!
/QUOTE]
we opened new accounts with natwest 3 weeks before going to court and all they did was change our accounts to their very basic one (cant remember the name)
we cant have a cheque book but direct debits, standing orders and online banking we have.
my husband can earn good money but i dont earn anything and i kept mine[STRIKE]Shazbo[/STRIKE]

Hiya tinytim, with regards to the electric and gas we are on a spreading warmth tariff with npower and receive an extra £62.50 Per quarter off our bills, the £60.00 p/m reflects this.
With regards to vodafone we have tired reducing the tariff and are having none of it. Tbh if they have to be cancelled then i think hubby would be most pleased!
The home insurance is £10.65 p/m with the accidental damage, i found it online.
The food shopping of £370 is realistic for us as we dont get working tax credits, i receive healthy start vouchers, which i factored into the amount, this is what we spend after using the vouchers. But your right the nappies are definately not cheap lol!!!!!
With regards to the car, yep the mot is £45.00. But with regards to the servicing side of things the garage i use is owned by one of our closet friends and when we do need a part doing on it i only ever pay for the part eg a clutch costs £70.00 thats all we pay - we are never charged labour and if we can source a part cheaper than him then he is happy to fit it too.
Some things may seem a little low, but there are reasons.!!!!!
But you are input is valued tinytim.
Shazbo, we dont owe natwest any money nor their associated groups and only have a current plus as it is with no overdraft so im quietly hoping as i like the bank. But im also realistic and know they may not but we will see.BSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110 -
Hi,
The OR has no need to know your friend does the work on your car! Boost your figures a little. Make sure you have a little left in the kitty for the unexpected things life inevitably throws at you! Good Luck, and keep on planning and finding out as much info as you can. The people on this forum are fantastic and you will find the answers and the way forward.0 -
Thank you all for your kind words in my hour of panic!!!
Just phoned the court, and got a date 25/1/10 for both me and hubby and that seems a relief in itself tbh. I can now see a light at the end of the very long tunnel.
Im now looking forward to it almost - i know that sounds weird. Im going to enjoy christmas with my family and then worry about it in the new year, after all its our decision not our creditors lol!!!
Im most of all looking forward to the fresh start it will mean for myself and husband as its been a difficult year for us to say the least. We have agreed what was in the past stays in the past.
Thank you all again. xxxBSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110
