I tried my Easiyo for the first time last nite. i put it on for about 8 hours and it still seemed quite runny-ish when i took it out.
any tips? have i done something wrong?
do i need to refrigerate it for a certain amount of time before eating?

Hi loupyloulou, mine is runny this time of year as well. If its still runny I sometimes tip some of the water from the flask away and top up with boiling again and leave for a couple of hours. I usually only have this with the drinking yoghurts they do. When it's really hot like now use a little less hot water in the flask, and when its cold, use a little more. Mine usually stays in for about 12 hours.
You don't need to strain it, just give the jar a shake. Enjoy. I usually get my mixes from yoghurtdirect.co.uk and find them really reasonable.0 -
thank you! i brought the low fat apricot flavour and didnt add any sugar and it tasted a bit bitter. i suppose the weather has its effect on my poor runny yoghurt!!0

I find I needed to add sugar as well so now I go for the normal variety. The strawberry is gorgeous and the vanilla as well, especially with fresh strawberries.0

Ideally, you should refridgerate it first
I don't buy the flavoured satchets because I prefer to add our own flavourings/fruit puree's and like the versatility of having a stock of plain yogurt because I can use it then for dips too.
In all honesty, I don't buy the EasiYo products for my EasiYo maker at all anymore. I use Whitefiver's HM EasiYo Recipe - very OS and far more economical. Making it in the EasiYo maker with that recipe is the same method as using the dried satchet product and I keep a little back in the jar as a starter for the next batch. Hi
After too many runny yoghurts with my easiyo, i started using bottled water instead of tap water, instant improvement, much more thicker. I leave mine for 12 hours.
I buy my sachets from Julian Graves, they often have discount offers on too.

I've been using the Greek style Easiyo sachets and that's lovely and thick. I like the texture better when it's been in the fridge for a while though. I love it for breakfast with a spoonful of honey and a sprinkle of walnuts.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

I have had 2 successful attempts at my Easiyo - but since then i cant get it right! what am i doing wrong?
I am using their powder mix, hlaf filling the pot with chilled filtered water, then adding powder, mixing, adding more water to the top. Shaking, then boiling water to the top of the baffle (as i have been using chilled water) and then putting in overnight, then chilling in fridge.
one attempt was really watery and looked wrong! todays attempt looks lumpy and taste and smells dodgy! made me feel sick! not thick and creamy like first attempt.
what am i doing wrong? Im getting frustrated with tipping it away each time :-(
thanks
