:T That is brilliant news :Tps, I'll be back to the usual mischief when I've finished working silly hoursMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Gingham_Ribbon wrote:Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. I'm honoured to be able to help out and feel lucky to be part of my favourite moneysaving board.
This is the part of the site I found first and it's the part that has saved me and my family the most money and changed how we live our lives. If it wasn't for OS, we would have been struggling financially, I may have had to go back to work rather than stay home with our toddler and we certainly could never have afforded for my husband to drop his hours at work so he could spend more time with us. Nor would we be eating so well, becoming gardeners or cleaning with vinegar. :j
So I am thrilled to be able to try to repay some of the debt I owe to all the Old Stylers. I have a lot to learn, particulalry with all the technical stuff, but I will try my best to help things run smoothly for you and try not to let you all down.
I won't ask you why you don't want to be BG to DT :rotfl: not with the likes of me around there0 -
I haven't been asked to bg on dt, Meher. But I get very involved in lots of the heated discussions in there. I don't think I'd be able to do that so much if I was board guiding there as it would be difficult to step in as a BG in discussions I was involved in.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I had an inkling you were going to be a new BG on OS. I think when you started to join the daily thread I had my suspicions.
Great news. :jI couldn't think of a more genuine person to help everybody.
Lovely to hear from you too Meher. :wave:Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
By complete coincidence, I was asked later on the same day that I made my first post on the daily thread. LOL. I'd posted to spur me into action after a sleepless insomnia filled night. It worked a treat too. I'll be back to it when DH goes back to work next week. This week everything's very easy here.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

By the way what does money saving old style mean - what do you talk here?
Homework for myself - should find time and browse this board and see what everyone is talking about, after my exams.0 -
Do check it out, Meher. It's a way of getting back to a more simple way of living that doesn't rely on a bunch of products businesses have told us we 'need' that our parents and grandparents managed very well without. (Like ready made food, dozens of cleaning products etc.)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

What an excellent description - you are obviously made for this job!
