Cheap Suits

OH has a job interview on monday and is slowly coming round to the idea that wearing a suit might be a good thing. But he resents paying loads for one - and won't wear a "dead mans suit" from a charity shop either. We are on a dmp so pretty skint.
I did read about a £15 suit from Tesco once - is this still available instore? Do Asda do any cheap ones instore too?
It would really help to take him straight to the relevant shop, suit him up and get out as I don't think he will cope traipsing from one shop to another on spec.
So any info appreciated!

Thankyou ringo, didn't think of ringing the store.
Kim - I think we have different definitions of "cheap".

We also have different definitions of an eligible chap - since when was a boy who does not possess a suit have a chance of being an OH or even just a boyfriend? Are you both under 17:p?
Owning a suit is not in my criteria of the perfect man, fortunately. He doesn't work in a job where a suit is required (lecturer) so has had no reason to have lots of suits hanging up in his wardrobe. He does have one for weddings/interviews and suchlike, but on inspecting it yesterday it seems moths have got to it.
I hope your responses have helped you in some way, perhaps by inflating your own ego by feeling smug superiority over people who are a bit skint. I do hope this has had the desired effect as you must be rather an unhappy petty individual who needs all the help they can get. I'm very glad to have been of assistance as it really can't be pleasant being you. Here's hoping you one day find a happiness that isn't predicated upon the quality of your suit or how many fifties you have in your Prada wallet.
Not claiming any benefits rob.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
Well, excuse me for offering a tip on where to save £425.
I hope your friend looks good in their polyester tat. Better warn him not to walk too close to the smokers' huddles on his way to the interview or it could end rather badly.
And, I think you will find, it is more likely those who do not wear suits who will be wasting money on trash labels like Prada, thank you very much.
And finally, not being 'required' to wear a suit does not mean it is advisable to not wear a suit.0 -
Saw yesterday that Asda if you buy the Jacket at £30 you get the trousers free.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Thankyou Steff. In the end I got a £49 suit from Tesco which looks really very nice for polyester tat.

I got a bit of shopping while I was there and used the £10 off a £60 spend waitrose coupon from the Telegraph plus £3 off a £30 shop clubcard coupon.
So paid £48 for a suit and a weeks dinners.
While I was there I noticed an advert for a machine washable £25 suit which will be in stock in a week or so for anyone else prepared to walk the polyester walk of shame.
The suit I got today though was suprisingly good quality for the price, much better than I hoped to find.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
