Windsor Life Assurance

Hi guys
My first time on this site and hopefully I won't be too annoying! I was hoping to gain some advice on the above company they keep sending yearly statements for what I believe to be pension plans (these were started years ago), however I'm really not sure what they are as their wording is odd to say the least. For instance 1. Flexible pension plan (obvious!) 2. Wealth Plan 3. Wealth Plan (COPPS component) 4. Additional Wealth Plan.
Now my question is this are they all pensions? Because I have no idea how to deal with these ideally if they are pensions then would like to transfer to the one scheme and if they're not, and here's the crux of the question how do I go about obtaining the funds?
Hope you can help. Any advice that you can offer would be very much appreciated. Obviously I'm not a finance expert (well duh!) so please keep responses simple!
Many many thanks.

You could ask them but I would guess they are.

COPPS could stand for Contracted Out personal pension scheme. Additional Wealth Plan could indicated Free Standing Additional voluntary contributions. I seem to recall General Portfolio using the "Wealth Plan" tag and they are now with Windsor

A number of Windsor plans have guarantees or charge levels that make them better than modern plans (they also have some that are worse). You shouldnt just transfer pensions willy nilly. You need to understand what you have and what the alternative options are.

If you are struggling with the paperwork, give a local IFA a call. They can look at the paperwork and give you an assessment of your options.
