Hi everyone
Just a quick question, I finished work (after handing my notice in) for a major national department store on 15th November.
How long should I expect to wait for my P45?
Thanks in advance

Should have come with your final payslip ! If not chase it up with employer.
If you are starting a job without it, just fill out a P46 and you should not pay emergency Tax0 -
Thanks for the reply
I haven't had a final payslip.
In brief, they pay 10th of the month 10 days in arrears and the rest in advance. So on 10th October I was paid up til end of October.
I didn't receive any money on 10th November. I would be entitled to be paid for 1st to the15th November (my finish date) but then I had used up most of my years holiday allowance which cancels most of that out (Hol year finishes April).
Gosh I hope this makes sense!
Anyway, the upshot is that I'm not sure whether they'll end up owing me a bit or me owing them a bit. I can't believe it has worked out exactly to the penny though so someone must owe somone! I thought maybe I'd get notification with my P45 but no sign of that yet.
I am not re-employed at the moment, spending some time with my children this side of Christmas but have started re applying for jobs looking to the new year. I will bear in mind the P46, thank you, I had forgotten about that option.
Thanks againIf you can’t beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.:rotfl:0
