  • Thank you op. trully marvellous find!!!

Just been to my store to get 3 bottles and got the extra odd thing thrown in while I was there, needed pop anyway... Looked on receipt at the car only to find in the multibuy savings for the coke was on x2 as mentioned, but at -1.68 x2. making the amount -3.36. so they paid me to take the pop out the shop.

Was tempted to go back in and get planty more bottles for xmas and do a little shopping while I was there seeing as they were paying me to do it, but irrational thinking carried away at the thought of it all and went home with just my 3, am sure I would have been had doing such a daft thing

Thank you indeed for the post :T

Not sure how they are paying you to take it away

I bought 21 bottles and they didn't pay me to take it away.

I'm sorry to say that I'm THAT sad that I had to run out to Tesco at 8.45PM tonight as soon as I read this post and pleased to say that it worked like a charm, 6 bottles of coke, 2 bags of chocolate coins and a bag of carrots £4.73:T total savings £7.92 :D

    A wooooohooooo :j

  • well i read this message and wasn't going to go but then oh wanted booze so thought why not give it a try? I think at our Tesco they've switched on to it because they had folded back the 3 for £3 bit of the label (which confused me at first!) but it went thru the checkout no problem! thing is, went back for more and spent more money on other stuff :( I don't think that's the point!
I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order!

    Hiya.

Im a new poster here and this seemed like a fab deal! Well done everyone who got it but ive just been to Renfrew tesco and it charged me the £3:confused:

Was it maybe because i used the selfserve?

    Thanks for posting x

I bought 3 firstly to check it worked then the nice lady told me to come back through her till as it may not work on the self serve, I'm not sure but there may be some slight differences between self serve and the normal tills, i think its best to use a normal till.
  • I went through the normal manned tills tonight - and it worked.
Then tried it again through the self scan (manned ones close down later on) and also worked.
Thanks op. I don't actually like Coke - prefer Pepsi Max - but it will do for the kids and visitors.
I managed to get the bottles with Festive labels of Santa etc, so it looks like I really went to town and made a festive effort this year;)

worked for me on both self scan and normal, had my 9 yr old with me both times and he was talking about it working, a swift kick on his shin sorted that out (joking before anyone calls social services lol)
