I still remember where i was when Elvis died. and i think i was 11

I remember the Stones in the Park concert after Brian Jones died - Think I was about 18.

    I remember that too!

It was a very warm day, and we arrived very early, securing a spot about ten persons back from centre stage. We were grateful for the weather, because we estimated that our young bladders could cope if we perspired most of our liquid intake away! There would be no chance of returning for anyone who took a loo break, because there were about 250 000 people behind waiting to move into any vacant place....action-smiley-079.gif

All went well for the first few hours, but then one of the girls began to complain of feeling light headed. No, on that occasion, no one partook of any whacky baccy; it was simple heat stroke, dehydration, or possibly both.

We hung on for another hour or so, but when the young lady began to lose consciousness, we gave in, picked her up and waded through the sea of bodies to the St John's Ambulance station. She was soon back to something like normal, but by then the Stones had started and we were, about 1/4 mile from the stage! I did see them, but from where we were standing most of what we heard was Bill Wyman's bass.music-smiley-026.gif

It wasn't my favourite concert in Hyde Park. There were a good few free ones on the same site, including one to launch Eric Clapton's new band, Blind Faith, which was musically disappointing, but socially rather good fun, what I remember of it!cool-smiley-008.gif

I'm chilling after spending since Tuesday at the hospital with my middle son, it's a wonder I can string more than two words together I am that tired! Approx 11 hours sleep since Monday and lots of stress.......

Bath was nice tonight though and boy am I looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
