Advice needed, is this website safe?

I'm getting a Thomas Sabo bracelet for christmas from my boyfriend and as the charms are £30-£40 a go it's going to look a bit bare at first :'(

I cam across this website, and whilst I'm 99% sure they're fake, I'm not too bothered, they look pretty real and it's only to bulk it up a bit until valentines, when I can ask for some more charms :D

The website is www[.]linksoflondoncharmswholesale[.]com/thomas-sabo-charms-c-91_94.html
(sorry I'm a newbie, can't post links yet )

So what do you think? Will they just steal my money and run away or will I actually recieve the goods?

I remember there being a thread somewhere about links of london sites, so if this is the same then I'm sorry! Did a quick search and nothing came up!

Thanks In Advance!

Yes it will be fake, Links of London would not have a wholesale website address like that - certainly not open to the public anyway.

Whether you will get your goods - who knows!?! Some fake websites will send out fake goods, other fake website will take your money and run.

I would say don't bother - after all you will be funding what is in reality illegal! Either buy charms that aren't a 'name brand', I got mine off ebay for a few quid each and they are lovely but they are not a make, or save up and buy the real thing.

Yeah I knew they were fake, it was ridiculously cheap. I guess I was just holding out on the thought that maybe someone had used them before, and that they weren't too bad for fakes!

  • I would look for not branded charms to be honest. There are some beautiful ones on ebay for just a few ££. At least you can check their feedback before buying...

I looked at the site. very dodgy IMO because they have no address and no phone number in case there is an issue and the email address is an hotmail a/c that any one can sign up for.

Looking at the allwhois website, the below is the admin contact for that website, so it is a Chinese based organisation. So I would say stay well away.

We went to Cheshire Oaks outlet on Sunday and they have a Links of London store. I don't know how much the charms are, but it would be worth giving them a call as most things are at ;east 50% off rrp

The best thing to do with potentially dodgy internet sites is do a whois look up as cjb02 has done. I use this site:
    http://whois.domaintools.com/

Oh and qq dot com is an email service based in China.
  • If you like fakes then that's great, but the problem is you may not even receive your order, these sites are only interested in getting your money and if you do receive it, then you can forget returning it.

If the site has no contact details, and carry's the brand name in their domain name; then stay away from it!

There are plenty of authorised sites; acotis and joshuajames, and I've ordered from both with no problems.

    Best Of Luck !
