    Perspective, it wasn't open yesterday icon7.gif Dow now down 154 points 1.47% but the USD is up, so if you hold a Dow tracker not too much damage :beer:

  • It's reassuring that there is a bit more robustness in the markets these days. If this news had come out 6 months ago we'd see carnage!

  • It's all a massive over-reaction. Most of our banks only have small percentages tied up in the UAE. Its HSBC who are the most effected, and the reaction of RBS today showed how even the most susceptible banks aren't too exposed here. You would have thought with LLoyds falling massively that all the banks would relate, and coupled with this Dubai thing it could have been a lot worse.

    Just a blip on the horizon.
