the reason the pay is so poor is because, as i said earlier, its a sales job.

like ANY sales job the number who can do it well is tiny which means the rewards are great which means the number who WANT to do it is large. this results is massive turnover hence the low starting salary.

doesnt matter if you are selling IT, finance or hovers.......the package will always be designed so that you cant live unless you sell well. no bad salesman is ever sacked.....they just quit when they realise £12k pa isnt enough!

how a mature person with 10 years behind them is able to make the jump tp sales i dont know...without some money behind you it could be a tough 6 months and, statisticaly, you wont make it so have plan B ready.

It is hard selling financial products face to face so you deserve a BIG pay check. Working for a large well known bank on a salary means you don't have to marketing to atract the customers and don't need overheads such as an office . However all the money is in selling online - all you need is a website with your telephone number on it and info about the products you sell and you can make huge amounts by providing leads - eg: average £60 for loans . The site i use doesn't stop there - once they are signed up and applied and accepted for a loan they are tagged to a shopping account - you can earn everytime they shop. if they never use the internet again atleasy you've got the mortgage arrangment cash but if they keep shopping that £60 will be just the tip of the iceberg :j

I dont think you are allowed to blatently advertise like this Fricaso and would ask that you read the forum rules.

If it was just as simple as you said then I would be a happy man but unfortunately Mr FSA doesnt appreciate the cowboy practices of just setting up a website. You have shed loads of compliance and regulatory issues to deal with.

I dont think any professional would subscribe to the practices.

It should be noted that the FSA have websites currently on their watch list. They are using external companies to search out sites and find uncompliant ones. There is apparantly a lot of them being found that are uncompliant and they could face fines.

In this case, fricaso appears to be promoting something that has little to do with a financial services careers.
