Good Seafood Cookbook

Hey I love fish but dont feel that confident in cooking it, just wondered if anyone could recommend a good seafood cookbook for fairly simple dishes ie no strange ingredients.

  • Anything by Rick Stein. Probably the best one if you want simple English recipes is English Seafood cookery and it is £5.83 on Amazon.

  • I agree regarding the Rick Stein book, but as well as this, I really like the River Cottage fish book, Jane Grigson fish book and my first ever fish book Floyd on fish which is the one that started me off and is available on Amazon marketplace for 1p + p&p.
    Hope that helps.
Oh, I forgot to say, our local library has the River Cottage and the Jane Grigson, so yours might too.

  • BBC 101 fish dishes, loads of recipes from dinner party to storecupbard, and each one has a picture so you know what you're aiming for. They are quite cheap as well
  • Thanks everyone I really like the look of some of rick steins books, might try the library first to decide which one to buy. Think I will get the bbc good food seafood book aswell its a really good price on amazon, I quite like the look of some of the other good food books such as the pasta one they are such good value.

A rather pricey but really good one is James Peterson's "Fish and Shellfish". I got it for my beloved as a present, but he's cooked so many delicious things from it it ended up being a present for me too!
  • Maybe I should start another thread which are the best bbc good food books?
