cambridge diet

hiyas im lookin at goin on the cambridge diet to give me results quick then im goin to follow a healthy eating plan to maintain weight loss. there are no cambridge diet counsellours in my area so im unable to get help/info /products. any ideas pls anyone?
ive seen u can buy the products off ebay but id like sum info about the products 1st...ie how many shakes a day to have, how to do it etc etc.. theres not much info on the website

Is that diet still going as I remember 20 odd years ago a friend using this diet.
Besides the point if you want a quick boost why not try the cereal diet. Where you eat cereal breakfast and lunch then a normal meal at tea time for two weeks.
I would say slim fast is the same as cambridge diet. As they both use shakes and bars etc.

I agree with the other answer, Slimfast would do the same job, a lot more cheaply than Cambridge. I also recall this from around 15 years ago, and the prices were extortionate even then and I certainly wouldn't buy from eBay (sorry, but that's my opinion!).
Do try the cereal diet (1 bowl twice a day + a healthy, balanced meal). There is no substitute for proper, sustainable weight loss though, other than following a healthy diet and upping the exercise.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I do the cereal diet somewhat inadvertantly, when I'm busy or stressed. Maybe for a couple of weeks at a time. Sometimes weetabix is all I can face eating, my comfort food.
The bonus is that I always lose weight, so it does work.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -

Sorry to drag this thread up again, but I've only just noticed it and need to correct some of the above
Cambridge diet is possibly cheaper than slimfast. With slimfast, you must also have a healthy meal for dinner. With Cambridge, you don't need that as it has everything you need in the formula.
The prices aren't exortionate. Admittedly, not cheap, but not much more than you would pay for normal food (especially if you've been overeating!)
I agree about healthy diet and upping the exercise though before embarking on a diet like Cambridge, but for many people this proves impossible for them.
I lost 8 stone on Cambridge. Have maintained for a year, and dead pleased with myself. Having done many other diets, this was the only one that got me to where I needed to be. It probably saved my life:TCambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -

I agree. They taste vile as well - at least Slimfast do the odd vaguely palatable shake, but Cambridge are all yukky. I don't think it does much to re-educate your body either - it's probably useful as a quick start, but I can't imagine there are many people like louisepp who stick it out for a long time.0 -
Im sorry but i for one really enjoy the shakes on the cambridge diet. There are a number of flavours to try as well as diff soups and choc bars.
Im sorry to hear that there isnt anyone local to you, could you not contact the person who is the closest and see if they will do a postal service for you? Im not sure if they do this but its worth a try.
The prices people are charging on ebay are huge! Dont buy from them!!
This plan isnt for everyone but it does work and you do get results quick IF you stick to it. Whoops, i forgot to say, also this is a healthy way to loose weight, you get all the vits and mins you need. Infact it was my doctor that recommended it to me.

I think Cambridge is deffinately worth a try. They have alot more flavours than slimfast and 3 servings a day provide you with all the vitamins and minerals you need each day. Some taller women and most men will need 4 servings a day.
When you look at the price (around £35 a week for 3 servings a day) it's probably compairable to what the average overeater spends anyway.
As well as packet shakes there are soups, ready made shake cartons and various different flavour bars.
If you need to loose a fair amount of weight Cambridge will let you do that quickly and safely. Once you are nearer your goal weight you can gradually re-introduce food into your life. By this time you will feel that much better that you will enjoy being more selective over what you eat.
Whatever diet you use you will never be able to go back to your old eating habits will you, but eat just the right amount of calories a day and take regular exercise and that's a recipe for success.
Cambridge makes dieting that much easier because you don't have to make any food decisions until you are much nearer to you ideal weight. Then you do it gradually.
As you can tell, I think Cambridge is great - I've lost just over 3 stone in around 3 months and feel excellent0
