Hi I went for a job interview last week, and was told I was succesful by telephone the day after (a week ago now)
They requested a reference off my boss on Monday, but I haven't heard anything yet.
Is this normal?
Starting to get a bit worried.
Thanks

I don't work for NHS but I think you're proabably being a little impatient (no offense intended), if they only requested it on Monday it probably hasn't been removed from the envelope yet no matter actioned, perhaps you could give them until the end of next week and follow up.

It all takes a little while. I would ring them after a week.

Ok thanks,
I just though I would have had it in writing, such 'as you have been offered the job subject to references, CRB check etc'.0 -
the wait for the CRB check to come back takes the longest!
I was told at the beginning of October that I'd been successful in my interview, and the CRB check only came back last week.0 -
Oh your joking!!
They haven't asked of any documents though or anything for me to sign etc for them to be able to do the CRB0 -
I got my written offer of a job in October - I started in July (was verbally offered it end of May, rang manager back beginning of June as hadn't had anything through said I definately had it and could start whenever I wanted),0
