Well I have been on here a good while now but am really motivated at the minute to get rid of these bloomin credit cards, so thought I would start a diary to try and keep this feeling going.
I'm 26, have a good job, a job that I love, a great OH (who doesn't know about my debt), own my own place and have these bloomin CCs hanging over me all the time.
I currently owe £10117.42 across 3 credit cards. This was just over 12K at the start of the year so I have made progress but I feel that now is the right time for me to get serious about this.
I used to be really good with CCs, put something small on it and paid off in full every month, but when I got my first place I started to put things like the sofa and curtains etc on it and well it just kinda spiralled from there.
For me I know my main issue is spending. I have very little self control so end up justifying new things to myself one way or another.
So in this diary I would like to share my story with you all, help encourage each other and track what I am doing to get out of debt.
Big hugs to all and thanks!

Hi, and welcome,
I'm a lurker, love reading other people's diary:) Started mine a while ago but gave up after 4 posts, hmmm, I'm not really good at it! Just stay focused, and you will be able to pay it off soon. Have you done a SOA?0 -
Thanks Kavics,
I have done a kinda SOA, its realy difficult as work pay for some of my costs and then I claim it back so what's in and whats out is in constant flux, I guess I could do an SOA and just ignore anything I know I will get back...hmmmm...New surname New start!

4. will try and do one review on dooyoo today as well
5. got leftovers for lunch:)
off to surf the boards for more things to do!

Morning all,
well I'm still feeling motivated (could this be a new record for me!)
Last night I put another 2 things on ebay, 2 of my 6 items now have bids totaling £24.99 - not much but hey every bit counts!
I also done one survey, not much but I'm trying to keep at it.
Did spend last night which I was hoping not to do but am having a really rubbish time with a few things and last night it just got to me so I went to buy chocolate and sit at home eating it and feeling sorry for myself!
anyway onwards and upwards!New surname New start!

Well I have been away for a week, we had a bereavement in the family so I have been off track and spent more than I should - travel, taakeouts etc but am now back on track.
Over the last week I managed to make £82.14 from ebay, just waiting on that hitting my acc so I can pay it off a card and finally bring my debt down below 10K.
Have some more stuff for ebay but think it is probably a bit too close to christmas and posting to put them on unless I put them on for a 5day auction - not too sure what to do.
Have made my PAD today and brought stuff from home for lunch, need to do some shopping this evening but should keep within budget ok.
Will also do a dooyoo review today.
Think thats it for now.
Anyone tried a 5day auction?New surname New start!

Hey all,
PAY DAY today woooo hoooo!
Made a couple of big payments to credit cards meaning my debt is now finally below 10K
This is a big milestone for me and has really made me motivated to keep going. Have finished all the xmas shopping so hopefully when things have balanced out a bit I will be able to make somemore payments.
Next target is to get debt down to £7.5K and am aiming to do this my end of Feb!! wish me luck!New surname New start!

Hiya! i know what u mean but the 'milestones' just keep setting yourself small achieveable targets.
When you reach them u feel so pleased that you start to get focused on the next one.
