Hi everyone,
I've searched the internet and am having such issues with finding a lender/bank that will lend to me.
I moved to England from Ireland 1 year ago. Because I had no credit history here I have a low credit rating. My car is about to die and I need a loan urgently to replace it.
I have talked to some money lenders and before they even do a credit check the answer is no because I'm not here that long. I'm in permanent employment with a decent salary but that seems to account for nothing.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated - if my car cuts out before I can get a loan I'm in big trouble
Thanks

You should probably focus on getting a loan just to build your credit up. With no credit behind you, you really wont be able to get a big loan. However take out a more expensive (though smaller) loan to build up your credit & you could save a lot of money in the long run. Maybe speak to a loan finder if at all unsure, though should have the inside knowledge that you require. You may get charged a broker fee so look for one that doesn't charge you anything first.
This is what I'd do, hope this helps!
Good luck!

This will be very difficult - can you not go back to an Irish bank where (presumably) you did have a credit history?0
