CREDITEXPERT.COM Payment Issue

Wonder if anyone can help me! Creditexpert.com are taking £6.99 from my account every month and shows as a "card payment". This is what it shows in my account when checking online: CARD PAYMENT TO WWW.CREDITEXPERT.,6.99 GBP ON 21-11-2009.
Can anyone tell me how to cancel them from doing this. 1) it is not a direct debit as not showing when checking them on my account or a standing order or Iw ould just cancel it 2) I now have a new card with a completely different 3 digit security number on my new card (old card expired) so how are they able to take a payment from my account. Very worrying. 3) "CARD PAYMENT" - normally shows on my account if I have paid for petrol and I have to enter my 4 digit pin code!

Anyone know how they are getting away with taking this money, and how to cancel the payment? Will just going into my bank resolve this? Thought might highlight this with everyone as I did free one months trial thing and somewhere in there "T&C's" they must be able to take the monies because was not showing anything in my Direct debits or standing orders then presumed they would notbe taking it! They have now been taking for at lease 3 months (all I can see online) and presume for the 5 months revious to this!! Looks as if its true "you do not get nothing for nothing"!!

You need to call them to cancel the contract. They do it very easily over the telephone.

When you sign up to the free trial you put your bank card details in and sign up to an agreement that you will pay each month until you cancel the agreement.

If you cancel within the first 30days you pay nothing (and have had the free trial).
    One phonecall should cancel it.

  • The guide from MSE says the following:

Therefore sign up, then view your file at no cost (you may be able to do this instantly, though may have to be posted a passcode), and then cancel the subscription. Even though they allow 30 days, it's best to cancel straight away, as leave it a month, and you may forget.

    • Experian’s Credit Expert.
Details: Credit Expert* offers a ‘free 30-day trial, then £6.99 per month' service which includes your credit report, so if you want your credit reference file just sign up and cancel this. Don’t confuse it with the Credit Score service which costs a one off £5.95.
How to cancel: It makes it very easy, just call the free-phone number 0800 656 9000.
    whole thing is here

    Hope this helps
