Hey,
Within the last week, MSE informed us that Skysongs were giving 10 free downloads. To get these, I registered with Skysongs but found I couldn't navigate the site. E.G., I wanted a track by Judy Collins. I clicked on the J & got artists whose names began with Ja, but I couldn't scroll to Ju. Can anyone help, please?

Don't know if it was the same offer, as I don't recognise the promo code, but I signed up for such an offer last week and got nowhere slow.
First I wasn't sure if I was supposed to run their download software first or just click the download link and the software would be loaded for me (and was I using the wrong browser -- is this another Firefox hating site?).
Anyways, after trying a couple of links and finally finding the "my account" section, it seemed that by then it thought I'd already download the chosen album even though I failed to get a single song of it. Then I noticed it said I only had one chance to re-download it so thought I'd better have a good look round to seem if I could find an idiots guide to downloading an album. Failing to do that I thought I'd risk it anyway but by then it had decided that I'd already re-downloaded it too and if I wanted it again that'd be £6.49 please.
Emailing skysongs@bskyb.com all the above details last Friday and requesting my account be re-credited so I could try again (with instructions on how to do so, if they would) has so far elicited no response and my Skysongs account is still showing as empty.0 -
Dear jag,
Thanks for the link.
Using it, I got to the track I want. However, I have a hesitation. If I download the track using that link, will I have to pay? The aim is to get it free. Can you advise?
Best,

Is there a catch though? is it a subscription service that needs to be cancelled otherwise you will be charged every month??

IF you signed up using the promotional code top get 10 free song downloads and followed the instructions in this thread:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2085549&highlight=skysongs
Then when you sign into your Sky Songs account it should say at the top how many free Songs remaining this month eg: 10 | 19 days remaining.
You then download the track but choose to pay via your songs credits rather than credit/debit card payment.0 -

If it is the same deal has in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2085549&highlight=skysongs then you only sign up for one month which is free. Your memebership then ends unless you pay again. It is not an automatical renewal.0
