christmas holiday ideas

Looking for somewhere to go at christmas for a holiday. Spent ages looking and cant find anything i like at a sensible price. Any idea?
I dont want to go away over xmas itself maybe new years
Would quite like snow where ever i go although not fussy and dont want to have to take loads of connecting flights?
Was thinking of Iceland but seems v expensive to get to.

    How about the McDonald Highland resort in Scotland, fair chance of Snow and lots for you and the kids to do. Not sure what the prices are like around Christmas though.
