Took my GF to Debenhams this morning. Bought her a new jacket and paid with real money. Check out staff tried to sell me a store card. I told them that store cards are evil and are the work of the devil! They weren't very impressed!

Haha you guys, those stamps are cool. Only get one though if you can afford it, don't waste money just to wind up would-be-creditors. You can just as easily and cheaply write it on by hand. The stamp just saves time and with the thud of the rubber on to the paper, knowing that your message will be easily understood, is just that little bit more satisfying :)

I like it. It reminds of this cartoon....(almost)

I have just cancelled my debenhams card (well in March). I had the card for 10 years and used it to get the 10% discount and then for store sale preview nights. What I was too dull to realise pre lightbulb moment is that driving to a store 20 miles away, parking, dinner and interest (on the odd month I did not clear the bill) end up costing a fortune and I don't think I ever saved a penny. The only thing I gained were nectar points. The interest rate was about 29% and they gave me a credit limit of £4,500 - imagine the flammin interest if I had spent all that!!!
