It's really disheartening to see so many people
    • arguing with each other
    • abusing the offer, and
    • spoiling the whole thing for everyone else
I thought it would be nice for people to share a little few extra quid to make the Christmas season a little brighter, but it's the last time I post an offer like this when I spot it.

Next time I'll keep it to myself.

    :(:(:(

(and no, this isn't sour grapes that neither of mine have tracked - that's just an extra kick in the nuts)

Am gonna pass on this one - but thanks for sharing.

Seems a shame to think of people wanting to book a genuine train journey to go and do their Xmas shopping etc. but can't get on because all the fake seats have been taken up.

I hope those who have booked from RM Lympstone don't prevent one of the guys from taking a well earned rest!

The person / people who booked 24 tickets - I'm glad I don't have your morales and principles - I'd be ashamed! IMHO abusing this offer is similar to theft!

Couldn't of put it better myself:T:T:T:T
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

TBH i dont blame you. It seems to me its not just the train full of children. ;) This thread seems to have its fair share too.

with regard to yours not tracking maybe you should try one today and see if it tracks. I am more than happy to send you a couple of pound if my one comes through.

So its fine and ok to ''steal 2 seats'',
but if you 'steal' 20seats you've then commited a hideous crime?!! :rotfl::rolleyes:

I think the poster was talking about the money, not the seats on the train

It's the way you tried to justify it by saying how much debt you're in and you don't have a job that made you open to opinions, it wouldn't have been so bad if you'd just admitted you've been greedy.

Ive nearly wet my knickers so many times reading how wound-up some of the dummies off this site get about petty things! :rotfl::p

No-one has ''stolen'' anything or any seats away from anyone ok!
Probably less than 1% of the people who travel by train actually ''book their ticket inadvance online'',
the other 99% just go to the station when they need to get the train, buy a ticket from the machine, and get on the train.

Each train has thousands of seats, the ticket machine and even this online booker doesn't ''reserve the seats'',
it clearly states that even that it doesn't reserve the seats,
and so the same seat can be booked 10x over by fake kids, and yet still if someone wants to get on that train and sit in that seat they will be able to do it!
i honestly dont care how many tickets people buy thats up to them what worries me thought is you made out you only have £10 to live on a month and yet you claim to have spent 9.60 odd on trying to make £120

i just think you would be better of spending less time winding others up and trying to get a reaction and more time trying to FiND A JOB and looking how you can best budget with your money

  • Well, I was feeling a little guilty as I bought 2 tickets..(can't have my 'kiddies' travelling alone ;)) and then went back and bought another 2 after I read that they won't track if you don't pick them up, so had a couple posted.

I now think that is nonsense by the way, as you will be charged for the tickets whether you pick them up or not.

I suppose I'm still feeling a little guilty, but not quite as bad as I did. I'm fully expecting them not to pay out though..just like the lottery..but it will be a bonus if they do.

As for HMV, as others have said, it always tracks & I think validates as £0.00, but then when it becomes payable the full amount shows. Don't worry, HMV are very good at paying up. :)
