Yay i just looked and it says its tracked all £120 worth! :)

Im just really really hoping that it doesn't scam me or any of that kinda nonsense now though!:mad::(

I know this may sound kinda very nasty and mean,
but maybe this thread should now be deleted so that it doesn't spoil and ruin it for all the people who have already done it.

As if too many people not only will they not be able to get the money,
but also the people who have done it wont either.

So you have managed to make some money (assuming it validates) and now don't want anyone else to, just in case you lose yours when Virgin catch on? To quote you, yes it does sound mean.

I really think if you are that desperate for money you should seek advice on the other parts of this forum.

i feel sorry for booty babe -i wouldnt call her greedy or mean i just think she is someone who is seriously in a mess and is trying everything to make money

for me she is starting to gamble .. 10 into 120 what next for her

i think anyone who tries to get a child ticket for 40p and then get 5 cashback is essentially abusing the system as they have no actual intention to travel .. because to have quidco you have to be 18 or above
however if people play fair and book only 1 of these then i hope they get paid

Sorry, but i simply just cant afford to have morals anymore. :(

My motto in life for the 2years has been that i've got start looking after myself because no-one else will,
and so thats what i do.

That is such a depressing thing to read. So... you don't get any assistance from the state then?

  • from what I remember from my days of unemployment, the state pays £47 per week JSA and all but £40 of your rent, also council tax benefit should reduce your bill to about £9 per month. If you are not recieving all of this help, I suggest you look it up, however, even that much help can leave bills unpaid. So I do see your point, however to gamble so much was a bit silly in my opinion, if I were you I would have just ordered 1 or 2 knowing that if it doesn't pay out you would loose a tenner is a lot of money when you don't have any to begin with. Also if you haven't paid your credit cards for over 2 years, they will be with a debt collector, which in a way is a blessing as interest is no longer added so the bills will not get any bigger. The trouble with an inaccurate sob story on this site is that too many people on here have been in that position themselves and know how things work.

As for those who are calling this a !!!! take and saying that it shouldn't be done unless you are going to use the ticket, will you be returning or using yours?

great post op have ordered one myself, for 40p I will gamble thanks.

  • Its a great find but because its virgin I will pass, if it was another train company then yes, fair enough i would do it, but virgin helped me 4 years ago by giving me free first class train travel for 6 months when my baby son suffered plagiocephaly. We had to buy a £2000 helmet to fix his head( because the nhs dont treat cosmetic faults!) and travel down to leeds every three weeks for adujstements and Richard Branson stepped in after i sent him a letter asking for some sort of discount on travel, and he gave me all my train travel free, and then offered me a and my family a free return travel fare to any where in uk for a wee holiday after my sons treatment finished. I just couldnt do it to such a nice outstanding man. :T

Booty is taking the p!ss big time. Way to ruin it for the rest of us who just ordered one. I'm sure we ALL need the money - i know i bloody do, but i wouldn't risk ruining it for everyone else just to suit myself.

I sincerely hope it gets declined and you lose that £9.60.

Bill posted this offer which is great, and it's excellent if we all get our £4.45 each, but to try and get £120 worth is blatant wreckage of a great offer.

PS i am currently unemployed too, and living on benefits with a baby on the way, but i'm not acting like the world owes me a favour just because i'm struggling to make ends meet.

OMG - These people know its gonna get abused surely....and I dont remember them saying that you HAVE to travel....just that you HAVE to buy a ticket to get the quidco cashback.......they really are not that silly and Maybe Mr branston himself has a plan here..... The more people that do buy a ticket and use it may just see how great a service it is and use it more often or recommend, therefore resulting in some more dollars for his bank!
Tho....maybe after this thread we should call Martin the 'moneyearning expert!!' or maybe Bill could change his name to it....lol!!
    Thanks Bill, great find!!!!!
Now off to quidco I go ;-)

    Note
when I say abused im refering to post 2....... I dont mean those who done loads and did take the pee, thats abuse too far IMO!!!!

They pay £51 per week jsa, but under 25s only get 1/2 the money of the standard rate housing benefit for the borough... :(

And so as a result i have to combine the 2, leaving me only £10. :(

The only way i can afford to survive is that thankfully i dont live too far from my parents, and so i can get free food from them during all the days that i stay at the family house.

If you are seriously struggling tho could you not move back home til you get sorted..... that should save you a bit surely!?!
