'Bodycare' shop chain - still going?

Hi all :)

While the OH and me were on holiday up in Yorkshire, we stopped off in Bridlington for a day. We ended up stopping off in the town centre, and went into a shop called bodycare. It was ace! (am I too easily pleased?! :o:o:o ) Really cheap health and beauty stuff, and some stuff I've not seen elsewhere (discontinued lines, american products etc).

However, looking online, I can't find a website for these shops anywhere! (I was hoping to look to see if there was one local to me in Berkshire.....)

Anyone got any ideas, for a site link, or knowing any stores around Berkshire / South East?

    I blimming hope they still exist! I love them! I thought it was everywhere but maybe they're a northern thing? I know they've got one in Carlisle, Blackpool, Manchester. You could have a look on yell.com and see if you can find it near you?

    There's definitely one in Swindon but like you, have never seen a website/store locator

    Not just a northern thing - we have one here in the Highcross in Leicester but again not seen any sort of store locator. I love it - I bought my mate a bottle of proper Johnsons Holiday Skin for a quid - she was just about to pay 4 quid for it :eek:

    I've checked on yell.com, and it brings up one in Banbury (Oxfordshire) - at least what I think is it (it mentions toiletries and cosmetics!). However the website given is this one: http://www.habdirect.co.uk/

    It mentions incorporating a bodycare brand but not sure if it's the same one. Maybe I'll try contacting them...........

    Anyone else around the SE / Berkshire who knows of any more stores?

    Sounds a great shop, never heard of it before or seen one and I am East Sussex, south east area. :)

    Bodycare is owned by GR & MM Blackledge and is based in Preston.They have about 120 stores. But cannot find a website for them .
