Any suggestions as to where I might find microwave reviews? Preferably from people who use them rather than a professional type review iyswim.
I need a new microwave and am not sure which to go for. My existing one is a Panasonic but it was a basic version from Tesco and it's really rubbish. My only criteria is that it's silver or stainless steel in colour with a s/s interior and preferably fairly powerful (more than 800w).

Me too.
Have you tried WHICH Magazine? You can read in libraries [ Feb 2009 and I think June.]
Swan 2050 and 2090 were £49/£59 respectively - some of the cheaper best buys. But on googling, I have seen a couple of poor reviews on these...
I was very diasppointed with my M and S microwave, which broke down last week [just over a year [2 year warantee - so thankfully M and S refunding]. Am still looking.0 -
I've done nothing but read reviews all over the place. I'm thinking of a Sharp now, they seem to be positively mentioned more often than any other make.
The older Panasonic models were supposed to be good but today's models are cheaply made and use poor quality components. A common complaint with Panasonic was the poorly fitting door.....which was apparent on the ones I looked at in Comet.Herman - MP for all!

I always use the goodhousekeeping review site to see if they have any reviews, they only have 9 microwaves though

Argos are good for public reviews i always have a nosey there too :cool:0 -
I looked on Comet and Amazon at the reviews before I went with mine. It appears Indisit (think thats how its spelt!) seem to be the worse of the bunch.
I had a Panasonic and it broke in just under 18 months! I paid £150 for it (reduced from £200 in Comet at the time). Gutted. I bought a £40 one to replace it. Depends what your after but I'd say unless you know for sure your going to use all the functions, get a cheaper version- save yourself the cash, just because it costs alot doesn't mean it will work for longer!0
