tesco taking coupons

Try telling that to the managers of the Tesco stores that still won't accept these coupons

Even if you get them to call HO they will still not over-rule the store manager.
I have had this happen too. At one tesco store there is a lidl and a farm foods within half a mile and they take both coupons. But at another store which is local to me there isn't a lidl or farm foods within 5 miles and they do not take them.0 -
Hi,
I am quite new to MSE and to using vouchers so I thought that as i needed some shopping I would use my lidl voucher for a tesco shop early this morning.
At the time the till assistant told me flatly that they would not and do not take these vouchers so i paid my £30.22 and left, however because it was so early i then went back at 9.30 to customer services to say i had since been told by a friend that they used one only yesterday(little fib). Customer services did confirm that they are being accepted in all tesco stores and because i was refused this morning i was given a £5 tesco cash card with no min spend and no expiry.
Needless to say i was very happy and am really getting the hang of this money saving thing.
Thanks all who post great deals and offers:beer:Rachel

Well done Ferrety, that was a great result!
I had no problem using my voucher in my local this morning, the SA didn't bat an eyelid.0 -
they just put them through as competitors vouchers now0

Am I too late....was this voucher just in the Daily express on Wednesday?0

I believe that the last one is in today's paper, and you have until Monday to spend it.0

I had my first attempt at using a Farm Foods coupon in Tesco's, I tried to pick the happiest looking person on the till and told her that I have heard that you can use these vouchers in Tesco's. She then called over a supervisor and I thought 'no chance of being accepted', the supervisor didn't even question it, she just came over to show the lady on the till how to process it - result :j
I could get used to this money saving lark

Tesco seem to be a law unto themselves  ! My local Tesco Extra won't accept them at all.
I've never tried to use a voucher in a competitor's store but, after the comments here, thought I'd give my Daily Express Lidl voucher a try on my shopping in Tesco this morning.
The helpful assistant on the till (who tried everything) couldn't seem to put the voucher through so she called a superior who went off to check with her superior and came back and said they don't accept them. She would, however, have accepted rival Sainsbury's vouchers!
The helpful till assistant then suggested I just try Customer Services on my way out - which I did, to be told by an (unhelpful) Customer Services assistant that they definitely DID NOT accept them anywhere and that no store should be accepting them.
Tesco, as well as seemingly Taking Over The World (well round here anyway!) don't seem to have any kind of coherent or consistent policy on these vouchers.
Back to Sainsbury's for me.0
