Which bank offers high multiples?

I will need a mortgage of about 4.5x salary on a LTV of 50%. I read here that Barclays offers a maximum of 5x on good credit scores (which I believe I have). Any other banks offer this?

Anyone knows what's the maximum multiple that LloydsTsb offers?

Thanks.

I know I keep raving about them but Natwest should be able to do that.

Depends on credit score, principality, platform, rbs, Halifax, abbey, a&l, all will. Good luck

50% LTV is what banks are looking for so you should pretty much have your pick, even with high incoome multiples.

If you're set on not using a broker, trawl through the mortgage calculators on your preferred lender's websites. They are bound to be a bit out but not a million miles if you are completely honest and your credit score is really high.

Thank you all very much for your kind responses.

I'd happy to use a broker but prefer to a face2face meeting. It seems that all fee-free brokers are online/telephone-based...

the majority are certainly, not all though and many only charge a relatively nominal fee, some up front, most on completion. Make some calls...ask the question and if they're not offering a straight answer then they don't sound like the people for you!

I think you'll be ok...good luck with it.
